RicePoint New executives strengthen RicePoint’s class action administration team

Michael Mooney and Shawn Gilhula have joined RicePoint as Senior Vice President and Director of Operations respectively to bolster our class action administration services.

Mooney brings more than 10 years of administration expertise, having worked on some of the largest, most intricate and notable class action settlement and voluntary redress programs in Canada.

Bringing two decades of experience, Gilhula has played a strong leading administrative role in some of Canada’s most significant class action settlements.

“Growing our class action administration in London – and nationally – has been an ongoing strategic goal for us, so Michael and Shawn are ideal additions,” said Gerry Mullins, RicePoint’s President.

“They both have significant experience in government settlement administration, which dovetails nicely with our strong suite of services, and their overall deep skills across the spectrum of class action administration further strengthens our capabilities.”

Commenting on the expansion of RicePoint’s services, David Weir, Senior Vice President of Business Development, said, “We’re thrilled to have Michael and Shawn joining us. RicePoint has a premier suite of class action services, and Michael and Shawn further strengthen our capabilities.”

Mooney has taken the leadership role in numerous government, consumer products, antitrust and securities fraud cases. Notable cases he has administered include: Hepatitis C class action settlement, Residential Schools Class Action Litigation, KPMG Overtime Redress Plan, and Walkerton Class Action Settlement.

Gilhula has provided streamlined and efficient class action services for clients and has been integrally involved in some of Canada’s most prominent cases, including: Walkerton Compensation Plan; KPMG Overtime Redress Program; City of Stratford Floods Litigation Settlement; Roth and Fifield Settlement for the Government of Alberta; and the Nutrition North Program and Claims Program for Foreign Affairs and International Trade (both with the Government of Canada).
